I have been slacking when it comes to the blog – sorry! Things have been crazy with school starting up and preparing for our baby boy!

This was my second time photographing this little cutie and it has been a pleasure both times. Love her curiosity and sweet smile!

I really enjoyed photographing Tracey in the studio. She was a natural in front of the camera and up for anything!

I think Jennifer wins for tiniest pregnant momma I’ve ever photographed. Isn’t her little baby bump so cute?!

I have been photographing these two since John Thomas was a wee little one and I seriously love these little guys (and their parents)! It’s so wonderful to have clients you look forward to photographing … and it’s not because Mom tends to give me some sort of baked goodies while I’m there! John Thomas was cracking me up, begging me to “cheese” him and jumping on his new big boy bed. Charlie was such a sweetheart and very intrigued by the braces on my teeth!

I absolutely loved that Stacy and Neil brought Neil’s teddy bear from when he was a boy to the studio. What an awesome keepsake for their baby, as well!

This young lady actually came down from the suburbs of Cleveland, OH for her senior session … and she happens to be my cousin, so of course I was doubly thrilled that her and her family made the trip down to Atlanta! Kelly is absolutely beautiful and a natural in front of the camera so she made my job super easy. We had a blast – even though it was 100+ degrees and we had to try and keep from melting! It was really hard narrowing down favorites to share!

I know I missed a couple weeks but things were crazy with summer ending and then school starting – but it’s back! For this next set of 5 Tuesday Treasures I will be featuring some of my favorite pregnant mommas from past sessions.

To start things off, is Samantha, who came in to capture her 6th pregnancy! Yes, you read that right and yes, she looks absolutely amazing … and I recently heard from her that she is pregnant with #7 (and still looks fabulous, I’m sure)! Congratulations, Samantha!

it’s a …

August 7, 2010

healthy baby BOY!

And I can’t tell you how shocked I was! I thought boy in the very, very beginning but was convinced it was a girl for the most part. When the tech said it was a boy I said “No way! Are you serious?” really loud.  Even though this pregnancy has been totally different than my other four, I figured it had to be a girl with how sick I was. Surprise!

We are all very excited though! My husband is over the moon and the kids are thrilled – even my youngest daughter who wanted a girl so badly. She was all ready to shop for little girl stuff two days before my ultrasound and I told her that she was going to be very disappointed if we find out it is a boy! Well, she didn’t show her disappointment at all and was just as excited to start picking out baby boy clothes! My youngest son still won’t let me live it down that he was right and I was wrong though and I’m sure I’m going to hear about that for the rest of my life! It took a minute for it to sink in for me but I am already excited about nursery ideas and can’t wait to start our registry and do some more shopping (maybe where my daughter gets it from?).

I have a photo of some very obvious boy parts but thought I’d share these two profile shots instead. ;) My husband refers to these as the “Jersey Shore fist pump”. I have only heard of the show but I knew what he was talking about and I’m sure you all will get the idea too.  If you look at the blue arrows in the photos, you can see his little hand start at the top and then move down!

Little Connor is a miracle baby. Though all babies are truly miracles, doctors told Mom that Connor wasn’t even possible. What an amazing surprise he was! Connor was 10 days old the day of our session and he really made me even more excited to meet my own baby in a few short months! It took him a little while to fall asleep (so Mom and I had a great time chatting while we waited!) but once he was asleep, he was perfect!

These two gorgeous kids usually visit my studio but this time I had the pleasure of photographing them around their beautiful home. I truly love location work since it always offers so much variety – and this session was no exception! Even though it was sweltering hot in Atlanta at 9 in the morning, they were such troopers and let me do my thing before going inside to cool off. I think it was definitely worth a little sweat in the end!
